This Samsung Dolby Atmos Soundbar With Enhanced Dialogue Is Now $400 Off.
The Samsung HW-Q800H soundbar has dropped from its usual $1,097.99 price to $696.99, which, according to price-tracking sites , is its lowest price yet. This 2026 model combines a soundbar and wireless subwoofer in a 5.1.2-channel configuration, with dedicated channels for dialogue, surround sound, and height effects, as well as a separate subwoofer for bass. This arrangement makes it a smart upgrade for those who constantly turn up the TV volume to hear conversations and then turn it down again when the action begins, as most built-in TV speakers lack a dedicated center channel to separate voices from the rest of the soundtrack.
Samsung is expanding the center channel’s capabilities, offering two dialogue enhancement modes and a new Sound Elevation feature that attempts to increase the apparent pitch of voices so that dialogue seems to originate from the actors onscreen rather than from beneath the TV. This can be especially useful if your soundbar is installed on a low cabinet. And if you already own a compatible Samsung TV, Q-Symphony allows you to use its speakers alongside the soundbar, potentially creating a wider soundstage without purchasing additional equipment.
The HW-Q800H also supports Dolby Atmos, adding a sense of height and space to compatible movies and TV shows, though the lack of DTS support is worth considering if you regularly watch Blu-rays with DTS soundtracks. Furthermore, since the set doesn’t include separate rear speakers, the surround sound effects won’t be as immersive as with a full-fledged home theater system. However, Samsung includes an automatic room correction feature that adjusts the sound to your space without the need for manual adjustments.
