This Powerful Lenovo Laptop Is on Sale at Walmart for Just $629.
If you’re looking for a reliable laptop but don’t want to spend a fortune on a premium model from Apple, Lenovo has several underrated options that are versatile and offer excellent processor performance for the price—and now they’re even more affordable thanks to a new discount on the Lenovo V14 G5 14-inch FHD laptop from Walmart, which is 37% off the original price of $629 ($999.99).
It’s equipped with a 10-core Intel Core i7-13620H processor (six high-performance cores and four energy-efficient ones) with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.9 GHz. It’s more powerful than many 14-inch laptops in a similar price range and handles resource-intensive multitasking, simple video and photo editing, and data-intensive office work with ease. It comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for additional storage, and a modest 47 Wh battery.
Despite its power, it’s relatively lightweight, weighing in at around three pounds and measuring 0.7 inches thick. One reason for its low weight is its plastic chassis. It may not feel as durable or premium as an aluminum laptop, but the tradeoff of a sub-$650 price tag is worth it for those on a budget. The V14 G5 includes a variety of ports, including two USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and an HDMI 1.4b port, as well as a headphone and microphone jack.
It supports Wi-Fi 6 and includes a physical webcam shutter for added privacy. The keyboard is designed for office use and has a traditional layout, making it convenient for those who don’t need additional touchscreens and folding hinges. Despite the relatively high resolution and anti-glare coating, the panel technology is somewhat outdated and has limited contrast, so it may not be the best choice for photographers, designers, or video editors.
However, if you’re looking for an everyday office or personal laptop with a powerful processor, a good selection of ports, and a lightweight design, but don’t mind a few compromises in terms of cost, the Lenovo V14 G5 14-inch FHD budget laptop strikes the perfect balance between affordability and performance, especially considering the nearly $370 discount.
