How to Pre-Order HomeView and Other New Apple Smart Devices

Yesterday, at the “Welcome Home” event, Apple announced a slew of new devices. The highlight was Apple HomeView, the company’s first smart display hub, with its square, seven-inch screen and design reminiscent of “a larger Apple Watch meets an iMac G4.” However, Apple is also collaborating with LG and Schneider to create a range of smart devices, such as lighting, doorbells, and cameras, that can be controlled via HomeView. The company also announced updates to existing products, including the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini.
None of these products are currently available for in-store pickup. However, many, but not all, are already available for pre-order if you want to be among the first to try them out. Here’s how you can reserve HomeView, Apple TV 4K, and HomePod mini 2 today.
Best deal on Apple HomeView pre-order.
Apple’s HomeView device is a unique product for the company. With it, you can control your entire smart home, communicate with Siri AI, check messages, take FaceTime calls, play music, and perform a host of other tasks. While its functionality is generally significantly limited compared to the iPad , it’s the only one of the two devices that offers a personalized experience for each user: it can recognize up to six people in your family and display personalized information (like messages) for each. You can pre-order HomeView from retailers like Apple , Amazon , and Best Buy . However, if you choose Amazon, you’ll receive a $10 discount on the standard Space Gray and Starlight models:
Please note: if you purchase the wall-mounted version, you will need to purchase the mount itself separately. If you purchase the USB-C Power Mount wall connector , it will add $59.99 to the total cost, while the wired Power Mount version will cost $79.99.
How to pre-order Apple TV 4K
The latest Apple TV 4K looks very similar to the previous model, but its internals have changed. This model uses the Apple A19 chip and can connect to up to four HomePod devices simultaneously. The new Siri Remote supports precise search through Find My and has a built-in speaker that can be activated if you misplace it on the couch. Apple doesn’t always label its products clearly. For example, the latest Apple TV 4K is simply called “Apple TV 4K.” If you’re considering buying one, don’t buy any “Apple TV 4K” you see. Instead, make sure it’s the fourth-generation model. Besides the designation (4th generation), you’ll have two clues: first, it’s currently unavailable for purchase, so you’ll only be able to pre-order it; second, it costs $299, which is $100 more than the third-generation Apple TV 4K.
How to pre-order the HomePod mini 2
The HomePod mini 2 comes in updated colors that perfectly match Apple’s iMac . The new speakers are powered by the Apple S10 chip and feature a new “Sound Glow” feature that pulses to the beat of music, changing colors to match album art. They can also act as the primary speakers for an iMac via Wi-Fi 6e. Amazon isn’t currently offering pre-orders for Apple’s latest HomePod mini. If you search, you’ll only find previous-generation speakers available for purchase, and only the updated versions. Besides Apple, Best Buy is also offering pre-orders for the new HomePod mini 2 in all five colors:
Pre-orders for the Apple Home Collection are currently unavailable.
The Apple Home collection is expensive, but Apple isn’t charging for it just yet. While the company has a page dedicated to new smart devices , including the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock for $349.95 and the LG Floodlight Cam for $399.95, neither is officially available for pre-order or purchase. Apple says some of these devices will ship in December, and others in early 2027, though it doesn’t specify which devices will be released or when.
