I Love My Hisense CanvasTV and It’s Currently up to 50% Off.

If you, like most people, consider your TV the centerpiece of your living room decor, then when it’s off, all your furniture is pointed at a black rectangle. If this bothers you, the “art TV” trend, started by Samsung’s The Frame, may be the solution. These TVs are designed to look like a piece of art, and when not in use, they display an image of your choice. The Frame is a pricey option, but other brands offer their own models, including Hisense and CanvasTV, which I’ve been using and loving for the past six months.

Hisense CanvasTV , a more affordable alternative to The Frame, is now on sale for $649.99 (down from $1,299.99). According to price tracking tools , this is the lowest price ever. Discounts are also available on other sizes.

Hisense 50″ QLED S7 CanvasTV Series 4K UHD Google Smart Art TV (50S7SG, new for 2026) – Art mode, anti-glare panel, Dolby Vision HDR, matte display, frame and ultra-thin wall mount included, a TV for everyday life.

The main advantage of the CanvasTV over the Samsung The Frame is the price: you’ll pay $200 to $1,700 less for a TV of the same size (depending on the size you choose). Furthermore, with The Frame, you’ll need to purchase the frame and most of the decorative elements separately, while the Hisense includes everything in the base price. Like The Frame, the CanvasTV also comes with a mount, allowing you to hang the TV like a piece of art.

I love that CanvasTVs come with Google OS, my favorite smart TV operating system, because it allows for seamless streaming from your phone (Android or iPhone). According to a CNET review , CanvasTV is a QLED TV with Quantum Dot technology and 4K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate in Game Mode Pro. Its low-reflective Hi-Matte display gives it an artistic look, combating glare. You can replace the teak frame with a variety of colors, including white and walnut.

What do you think at the moment?

Considering that the Hisense The Frame is cheaper and requires less upfront cost, it’s a great option for those looking to save money on a TV that won’t dominate their home, especially with the current discount.
