This Highly Rated TCL Mini LED TV Is on Sale for 57% Off As Part of the October Prime Day Sale.

TCL introduced the QM8L series earlier this year, and the 65-inch model has already dropped from $2,499.99 to $1,077.99 as part of the October Prime Day promotion. That’s a 57% discount on a 2026 TV that offers some of TCL’s advanced display technologies in a model positioned just below the flagship line. The larger 85- and 98-inch versions are also significantly discounted. Now that October Prime Day is here, check out our deals overview to get a better idea of what else is discounted.
The screen itself features TCL’s thin “Zero Border” bezel, giving it a clean, minimalist look, but its main selling point is brightness — PCMag measured the 65QM8L at 3,504 nits, which is below TCL’s claimed peak brightness of 6,000 nits, but still bright enough to earn the TV its first Lab Award as the brightest TV tested. This level of brightness should help highlight high-dynamic-range details and maintain image visibility in a sunlit room, where Mini-LED TVs typically have an advantage over OLED models. (You can learn more in our guide to the differences between OLED and QLED displays . ) TCL combines this brightness with up to 4,000 zones of local dimming and Halo Control, which limits glow around bright objects and brings contrast closer to OLED. CNET was also impressed, giving the QM8L an 8.8 out of 10 and naming it the best TV its reviewer tested in 2026 .
Gaming support is also quite extensive, with a native 144Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate, and four HDMI 2.1 ports capable of handling 4K video at 144Hz. Beyond gaming, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support movies and streaming, while Google TV integrates your apps and adds Gemini voice control. As for audio, the Bang & Olufsen audio system works with Dolby Atmos and delivers better sound than many built-in TV speakers. While it can’t deliver the deep bass or directional effects of a dedicated surround sound system, it may be sufficient for those looking to avoid immediately purchasing a soundbar.
