The Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet Is Now on Sale for $90.
Fire tablets started out as budget devices, and their initial release took place many years ago. The 2024 Fire HD 8 is the latest version of the mid-range tablet, and it’s currently 31% off. If you’re looking for a budget tablet for streaming video or scrolling through your social media feed, the Amazon Fire HD 8 with 64GB of storage is a great value at $89.99 (originally $129.99). If you want an ad-free experience on the lock screen, this version is $104.99 (originally $144.99).
The previous model of the Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet was released in 2022, and this latest version adds two more GB of RAM, for a total of 4 GB. The Fire HD 8 gets its name from its 8-inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution; it also features a 2.0 GHz hexa-core processor, a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, provides approximately 13 hours of battery life, has a brighter screen than the previous version, and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1 TB with the purchase of additional modules. The front camera remains the same – 2 MP with 720p HD video recording, but the rear camera is now 5 MP and records video in 1080p HD.
The high-resolution touchscreen certainly isn’t impressive, but for $89.99, it’s excellent value if you just need something portable for watching your favorite shows or browsing the web. It’s a great budget tablet, but keep in mind that since it’s a Fire Tablet, you’ll have a limited selection of apps in Amazon’s own app store (unless you download the Google Play Store).
