The Final Round of Lifehacker’s Big Guessing Game Has Begun.
Welcome back to the Big Guessing Game! This year, Lifehacker, along with other CNET Group sites (CNET, ZDNet, Mashable, and PCMag), is giving readers a chance to win the latest Apple Watch by predicting Apple’s major announcements in 2026. We’re officially in the third and final round, so be sure to make your predictions before Apple’s fall event!
If you’ve played the previous two rounds of the Lifehacker or CNET Group “Big Guessing Game,” you know the gist. But for newbies, here’s a quick rundown. The “Big Guessing Game” consists of three rounds:

The first round , which concluded on June 2, focused on Apple software announcements (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, etc.). Results from this round can be found here .

The second round ended on July 21st. This round included questions about Apple hardware (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, etc.). The results of this round can be found here .

The third round , which began on August 18th, runs until September 1st. This round is dedicated to Apple’s fall event. (You are here now.)
In each round, you’ll answer five questions about what Apple might announce during various presentations and keynotes. We won’t know the exact answers until Apple confirms them, but once we do, each correct answer will earn you an entry into CNET Group’s grand prize drawing. The drawing will begin at the end of the third round, and if you win, you’ll receive the latest version of Apple’s smartwatch.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and reside in one of the 50 US states or Washington, D.C. As mentioned above, you’re not limited to the Lifehacker guessing game: each CNET Group site hosts its own game, each with its own questions, meaning there are 75 possible answers across all three rounds. You can answer any or all questions in each round, but note that you can only win once, even if you play on multiple sites. Each of the five sites will announce the winner of their contest shortly after Apple’s fall event.
