Apple Has Added These New Android Devices to Its List of Devices Eligible for Trade-In.

It’s a strange time to buy new tech. On the one hand, ” RAMageddon ” is making devices more expensive and harder to find; on the other, companies are trying new tactics to get you to buy new things more often. Take Apple, for example: while buying a MacBook Air from the company has become more difficult than ever, Apple now allows you to “lease” new products for one, two, or three years. Sure, Macs and iPads may cost more than ever, but you might find it easier to pay those prices over 24 or 36 months interest-free.
Each device is offered with a payment plan that doesn’t include a trade-in, but you can trade in your old device if you decide to lease. Apple will reduce your payments based on the value of the device you trade in at the time of signing the contract. The higher the value of your device, the lower your payments will be. Particularly interesting, given the current tech market, is that Apple appears to be making its offers more attractive to customers by offering trade-ins, which will likely only spur the growth of the Apple Upgrade program.
Apple has raised the trade-in values for many of its products.
As reported by 9to5Mac , Apple has increased the estimated trade-in value for a number of products, primarily its own devices. The company has increased the trade-in value for many iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, and Macs, in some cases more than others. You can now get up to $70 more for your iPhone 16 Pro than before, or up to $20 more for your iPhone 13 Pro Max. The actual amount depends on the specific device and the condition in which you bring it to Apple.
If you’re trading in a Mac, the numbers are certainly much more significant. Apple has increased the trade-in value of some models by over $100, and also increased the price of the Mac Studio by $260. However, other figures have dropped significantly: you can get just $25 more for an iMac, and the maximum price Apple sets for an iMac Pro remains unchanged at $315.
Here’s a full list of the maximum prices Apple will accept devices at as trade-in prices, provided your device meets all requirements:

Apple’s trade-in program also includes more Android devices.
However, equally noteworthy is that Apple has expanded the list of Android devices eligible for trade-ins. If you’re looking to upgrade from Android to an iPhone, there’s a good chance Apple will offer you a discount on the purchase or lease of a new device.
This week, new models arrived: the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9, OnePlus 13, and OnePlus 13R. While this is good news for owners of these devices looking to upgrade, there’s bad news for some Android users: Apple has lowered the trade-in value for the following models: the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, Google Pixel 8 Pro, Google Pixel 7 Pro, and Google Pixel 7. Apple only lowered these prices by $5 or $10, so it’s not a significant change, but it’s interesting to see which devices the company considers less valuable.
