“Created by Google in 2026”: What to Expect From the Pixel 11 Presentation.
It’s been almost a year since the launch of the Google Pixel 10 phones , which, of course, means it’s time for the debut of the Pixel 11 smartphones. Another Made by Google event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, starting in New York City at 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT.
Since Google typically releases new Pixels around this time of year—and has already released several revealing teasers in the Google Store —we have a good idea of what’s to come. Combine that with the recent wave of leaks and rumors from reputable insiders, and we can begin to paint a clear picture of what’s to be announced next week.
What do the rumors say about the Google Pixel 11 announcement?
Let’s start with the Pixel 11 phones: it looks like, like last year, there will be four new models: the Google Pixel 11, the more advanced Pixel 11 Pro, the more advanced and larger Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google has already teased and shown off the designs of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold on social media.
As official teasers suggest, the familiar Pixel design has returned, with the addition of a colored LED notification light on the rear camera module. Early rumors suggested it would be called “Pixel Glow,” but reputable tipster Roland Quandt has uncovered materials indicating it will actually be called “HiLight” and will be used to indicate Gemini chats or incoming messages from priority contacts.

For everything else, we’re relying on unofficial sources. Experienced leaker Evan Blass, who has one of the best reputations in the industry, shared renders of all four expected phones, including the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro XL , which Google hasn’t yet specifically mentioned.
Aside from the HiLight color, there aren’t any major design surprises, but it appears Google is changing up the color options again. A detailed leak published on MyMobiles lists blue, green, midnight blue, and pink for the standard Pixel 11; and green, light green, silver, midnight blue, and red for the Pro and Pro XL versions.
Regarding technical specifications, most reports indicate that the devices will be equipped with the Tensor G6 chipset , which is superior to the Tensor G5 in the Pixel 10. The speed boost may be minor, but this will be the first Pixel processor built on a 2-nanometer process, which should make it more efficient. A new modem is also expected, which should ensure faster and more reliable 5G performance.

A full specs list published by Android Headlines shows RAM options of 12GB or 16GB, and storage starting at 256GB (up from 128GB last year). The extra storage comes at a price premium: these phones are projected to start at $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, $1,299 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, representing a $100 premium over comparable Pixel 10 models.
Regarding the cameras, they are rumored to remain virtually the same as last year, meaning each model will feature a triple-lens camera on the back. Battery capacity is also expected to remain roughly the same across all models, with slight increases or decreases depending on the specific model.
What do the rumors say about the Google Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag announcements?
Phones aren’t the only new devices expected to launch on August 12th. New Pixel phones typically launch alongside a new Pixel Watch, and it looks like that will be the case this year. While Google hasn’t officially mentioned the smartwatch, seasoned leaker Steve McFly has unveiled numerous renders of the Pixel Watch 5.
These renders again show the standard Pixel Watch design, with case diameters of 41mm and 45mm, and rumors suggest a slight increase in battery capacity. However, the chip inside (the Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 2 SoC) is believed to be the same as the one in the Google Pixel Watch 4 , and pricing is reported to start at $399 for the 41mm version and $429 for the 45mm version (a premium of $50 and $70, respectively, over the Pixel Watch 4 models).

As an added bonus, it looks like Google will finally unveil its AirTag competitor at this event. Images and pricing information have surfaced for the Google Pixel Tag , which looks like a rather inconspicuous little Bluetooth tracker and will undoubtedly work through Google’s Find My portal, helping locate lost gadgets.
Leaked information so far doesn’t hint at a rechargeable battery or support for the ultra-wideband (UWB) technology that enables AirTags’ high accuracy, but the price for a single Pixel Tag in Europe is expected to be €34.90. This is almost exactly the same as the Apple AirTag price in that region, so a US price seems quite likely.
