This Set of Four of Apple’s Newest AirTags Is Now on Sale at Its Lowest Price Ever.
Amazon is selling a pack of four second-generation Apple AirTags for $89 (previously $99)—the lowest price the company has ever offered, according to price-tracking sites . This makes each tracker $22.25, a better deal than buying them individually —a single AirTag is currently selling for $27 on Amazon.
The most significant improvement over the first-generation AirTag is the new Apple Ultra Wideband chip, which the company claims gives precision location features a 50% longer range. This means your iPhone can now point you to the nearest AirTag from a greater distance, using on-screen arrows, haptic feedback, and sound as you approach. Apple has also increased the volume of the built-in speaker by 50%, which can be especially useful when precision location has already led you to the right location—the louder sound makes the AirTag easier to spot, even if it’s hidden under clothing, in a bag, or wedged between couch cushions.
Apple Watch owners will also get a welcome update: the pinpoint feature now works with Apple Watch Series 9 and later, as well as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, allowing you to track nearby AirTags directly from your wrist without having to reach for your iPhone. However, the rest of the device remains largely unchanged—it still uses a replaceable CR2032 battery, has the same IP67 water and dust resistance rating, and maintains the same dimensions, so holders and key fobs should still fit. Owners of the original AirTag probably won’t find much reason to upgrade here, but for first-time buyers, this four-pack for $89 is an affordable way to get the new model without spending much more than the older AirTag kits typically cost.
