If your phone isn’t working, you’re not alone: T-Mobile is down. The outage appears to have occurred relatively recently: according to Downdetector , the first reports came in at 3:53 PM ET, and the number has increased dramatically since then. At the time of writing, over 60,000 users have reported problems with T-Mobile.
On the r/tmobile subreddit, hundreds of Reddit users are confirming service issues. Reports are allegedly coming from several states, including Utah, Arizona, Missouri, Michigan, and Illinois, indicating a potential nationwide outage. T-Mobile has not yet made any public comments about the outage, but its support account on X is responding to user complaints with standard replies.

T-Mobile isn’t the only carrier to experience major outages this year. Back in January , Verizon experienced a massive nationwide outage . The company stated that the outage wasn’t caused by a cyberattack, but by a software issue. We don’t know why T-Mobile is currently down, but the company will likely announce it to the public soon if it doesn’t fix the problem completely.
