How to Pre-Order the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, or Z Flip 8

At its July Unpacked event, Samsung officially unveiled the next generation of foldable Galaxy devices . This is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which, despite its name, is actually the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy Z Fold 8, on the other hand, is a completely new device with a lighter design (and a slightly lower price) than the Z Fold 8 Ultra. Finally, there’s the Z Flip 8, which is essentially identical to the Z Flip 7.
If you’re looking for a new foldable smartphone, these new devices may be of interest. Even minor changes to the Z Flip 8 could be a welcome upgrade if your Flip is several years old. While it’s not available for purchase today, you can pre-order either model now.
How to pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is Samsung’s premium foldable smartphone, coming in 2026. Among Samsung’s newest products, it boasts the biggest and best cameras (200-megapixel wide-angle, 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and 10-megapixel telephoto), the largest displays (6.5-inch outer display, 8-inch inner display), the largest battery (5000 mAh), and, unfortunately, the highest price. If you’re interested in this smartphone, you can pre-order it using the following links:
-
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (256GB) : $2,099.99 at Samsung Store.
-
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (512GB) : $2,299.99 at Samsung Store.

How to pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 8
Many might think the Z Fold 8 is a souped-up version of the Z Fold 7, but that’s not the case. It’s a slimmed-down version of Samsung’s foldable smartphone, which may appeal to users who want a phablet that takes up less space in their pockets. It features a 5.5-inch external display, a 7.6-inch internal display, three rear cameras (50-megapixel wide-angle, 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2x optical zoom), and the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip as the rest of the Z 8 series. Thanks to its lightweight design, the suggested retail price is slightly lower (and I emphasize, slightly lower ), as the Z Fold 8 starts at $1,899.99. Here are the pre-order links from Samsung:

How to pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip 8
The Z Flip 8 isn’t much different from the Z Flip 7. It features a 4.1-inch external display and a 6.9-inch internal display (though peak brightness has increased from 1600 to 2600 nits), 12GB of RAM, and similar cameras to the Z Flip 7, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and 10x digital zoom. (However, it does have a new 2x optical zoom.) It also gets an improved processor instead of the Exynos 2500.
So, this isn’t a device worth upgrading to if you bought a Samsung flip phone last year. However, it’s the company’s flagship Z Flip, so if you’re looking to upgrade or considering buying a flip phone for the first time, it’s worth considering. Here’s where to pre-order:
-
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 (256GB) : $1,199.99 at Samsung Store.
-
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 (512GB) : $1,399.99 at Samsung Store.
