Take Advantage of Apple’s Back-to-School Offer: Get a $150 Gift Card to Get a MacBook for the Price of Last Year’s.

It’s that time of year that reminds everyone on summer break that nothing good lasts forever: back-to-school deals. One of the most popular offers in recent years is from Apple, which offers eligible customers discounts and/or gift cards when purchasing select Apple devices for school use. This year, students, faculty, staff, and other eligible customers can receive an Apple gift card worth up to $150 when purchasing a MacBook Pro or up to $100 when purchasing a MacBook Air, iPad Air, or iPad Pro. You can read the full terms and conditions to find out who is eligible for the discount, and see the list of products below. The discount comes at an especially opportune time: Apple recently raised prices on many of its devices by $100 or more —meaning you can buy a MacBook for the same price as last month.
Here’s the bad news: the new MacBook Neo isn’t included in this deal, nor is the iPad mini, iPad (11th generation), or any Mac desktop computers. This promotion ends August 27, 2026.
To qualify for a gift card, you must purchase Apple products directly from Apple. Currently, this can save you double, as Apple already offers educational discounts to eligible students who purchase many of these products —and these discounts are cumulative with the gift card offer. You must use the gift card funds to purchase Apple products, accessories, apps, subscriptions to services like Apple Music, iCloud+ storage, and more.
Who is eligible to receive a gift card?
If you are a current or recently admitted student at a higher education institution, a faculty or staff member at a higher education institution, a parent making a purchase on behalf of an eligible student, or an educational institution employee (kindergarten through 12th grade), you are eligible to receive a gift card. As with the educational discount, you will need to verify your eligibility through UNiDAYS to receive the gift card.
