Prime Day starts today , and you can find great deals on some of my favorite fitness trackers and smartwatches. The Oura Ring 4 is on sale at a great price, Whoop is running one of its rare discounts, and Fitbit is at its lowest price ever. I’ll update this list as the sale continues.

Great deals on Whoop

The Whoop screenless fitness tracker is one of the best devices on the market for in-depth workout and recovery data analysis. You can read more about how I use mine here , and also check out my review of the 5.0/MG device . The band comes with a 12-month subscription. The cheapest plan isn’t currently on sale, but the other two are:

  • A Whoop Peak subscription with the 5.0 device costs $199, while the regular price is $239. (This is the same price as the cheaper version, the Whoop One, which is usually sold for.) I would recommend the Peak subscription to almost anyone.

  • The Whoop Life device with the MG sensor costs $299, while the regular price is $359. Frankly, I don’t think the extra cost is justified. All you get is an ECG function on the strap and a blood pressure function of questionable utility. Choose the Peak.

Great deals on Oura rings

The Oura Ring 5 just came out ( here’s my review ), so it’s no surprise we’re seeing big discounts on the Oura Ring 4—some of them nearly 50% off. Oura ring prices vary by color, so here’s the breakdown:

Great deals on Fitbit fitness trackers

Again, the recent release ( the Fitbit Air without a screen ) means we’re seeing discounts on older models. These Fitbits work with the same Google Health app as the Air, and they also have a slim design, but with the added benefit of a screen that tells the time.

What do you think at the moment?

Great deals on Garmin fitness watches.

Garmin recently released the Forerunner 70 and 170 models, meaning older models are currently on sale. Garmin watches hold up well, so even models from two generations ago can be a great buy. Here are a few models I’m keeping an eye on:

  • Garmin Forerunner 55 , $149.99 , originally $199.99: This is the most basic of Garmin’s new running watches, but it was good enough to help Sebastien Sawe break the sub-2-hour marathon barrier.

  • Garmin Forerunner 165 , $199.99 , originally $249.99. This is a popular entry-level running watch . The music version is also on sale; it costs $50 more than the standard version.

  • Garmin Forerunner 265 , $349.99 (original price $449.99): This was one of my favorite Garmin gadgets when it first came out, though it’s no longer the latest and greatest. It features dual-band GPS, works with power meters, and has advanced analytics, such as training status information.

  • Garmin Vivoactive 5 : $189.99 , regular price $229.99. This is another favorite of mine , a nice everyday fitness watch with a touchscreen for most interactions, but two physical buttons for starting, stopping, and counting laps during workouts. It’s been replaced by the Vivoactive 6 ($299.99), but I still think the 5 is a great watch. This discounted price isn’t uncommon, but keep an eye out for more discounts in the coming days.

  • Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition : $499.99 , originally $999.99. This watch was released alongside the Fenix 7 Pro in 2023. It has since been replaced by the Fenix 8 series, but it remains a great watch. It features an AMOLED screen and additional features not found on the Forerunner, such as golf features, tide information, and fishing forecasts.
