Prime Day 2026 is the perfect time to upgrade your smartwatch, especially if you’re an Apple fan: all Apple Watch models are currently on sale for Prime members, including the Lifehacker-favorite Series 11 —the best Apple Watch for most people.
By comparison, last year Apple simultaneously updated all three Apple Watch models. The current lineup includes the Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3, all of which are discounted during Amazon’s Mega Sale. Let’s break down what’s available and what to consider when choosing. (Most importantly, decide whether you need a GPS-only or cellular model. GPS-only models are cheaper and sufficient if you’ll primarily use the watch paired with an iPhone. Cellular models allow you to use the watch independently for calls, messages, and data when your phone isn’t nearby.)
Apple Watch Series 11 is on sale for $120 off.
The Apple Watch Series 11 , which typically retails for $429, is now on sale for $309. That’s the price for the 46mm model—you can also get it for $279 (down from $399) for the 42mm version . Compared to the previous generation, the Series 11 has improved battery life, increasing it to 43 hours with the always-on display turned on, compared to 36 hours for the Series 10. The Series 11 also supports 5G cellular connectivity, as opposed to LTE on the Series 10. It has a larger, more responsive display than previous models while remaining lightweight. The Apple Watch SE 3 costs less than $200.
The Apple Watch SE 3 , which typically retails for $249, is now on sale for $199. If you want to add cellular support or opt for the larger 44mm case , those options are also available for $249 (the regular prices are $299 and $329, respectively). The SE 3 is the most affordable option compared to the Series 11 and Ultra 3, which are the latest models released by Apple. The SE3 is equipped with the same Apple S10 processor as the Series 11 and has better battery life, averaging around 46 hours. It features an always-on display, 5G support, gesture control, on-device Siri processing, ovulation estimation, sleep apnea detection, and wrist temperature measurement.
The stylish Apple Watch Ultra 3 is on sale for $150 off.
Finally, the premium segment of the lineup features the Apple Watch Ultra 3 , which retails for $649—down from $799. The Ultra is Apple’s “pro” watch, focused on durability and long battery life. The main difference from the “regular” Apple Watch is that the Ultra has the largest and brightest display. This particular model offers upgrades to the display, processor, satellite connectivity, cellular connectivity, charging, and blood pressure sensor.
Refurbished older models are also a great buy.
For those looking to stay under $150, refurbished older Apple Watch models, such as the Series 7, are available for $130-$140. While these models lack the latest features and don’t support watchOS 27, they still perform their intended functions: activity tracking, notifications, and health monitoring.
Looking for something different? Retailers like Walmart and Best Buy are running Prime Day-style sales, which are especially helpful if you don’t have an Amazon Prime subscription.
