You can view recent recordings and receive basic alerts for free, but some of the more advanced features, including facial recognition, expanded video history, and alerts for sounds like broken glass or smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, require a subscription, which starts at $10 per month, as noted in a PCMag review . The camera is also closely tied to the Google ecosystem—it works well with Google Assistant and other Nest devices, but doesn’t support Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or IFTTT.
