You Can Skip the Line and Get Siri AI on Your MacBook Right Now.

After a two-year delay, Siri AI is finally here —at least for beta testers . Immediately following the WWDC keynote on Monday, Apple released the first developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate, bringing with them the new AI-powered Siri. If you’re brave enough to test Apple’s unfinished updates, you now have a chance to try Siri AI for yourself—provided you make it through the waitlist.

Like many sought-after AI tools, Siri AI is only available through a waitlist at the beta launch. After installing the beta, you can join the waitlist, but there’s no guarantee how long you’ll have to wait to get Siri AI. Some users report getting access fairly quickly, while others have had to wait a long time. From what I’ve seen, there’s no consistent pattern to why some users have shorter wait times than others; it seems to be purely random.

However, if you’re using the macOS 27 beta, it looks like you won’t need to wait at all. In fact, by taking matters into your own hands, you can avoid the wait altogether and try Siri AI whenever you’re ready.

How to bypass the Siri AI wait queue in macOS 27

According to MacRumors , bypassing this line requires a simple command in Terminal. Terminal, for those unfamiliar, allows you to interact directly with macOS, giving you greater control over the operating system. It may seem complicated to use for beginners, but commands for specific situations are easy enough to copy and paste.

However, a few caveats: if you’re using the macOS 27 beta, you’re likely already prepared to accept some risk, but it’s worth reiterating that testing Siri AI before development is complete means working with unfinished software. The beta itself can lead to instability and data loss, and tampering with the beta’s intended design could expose you to even greater risk. Before proceeding, I recommend making reliable backups of any data you don’t want to lose, and understand that Apple doesn’t plan to use the beta in this way.

What do you think at the moment?

With that caveat in mind, here’s how the workaround works, according to MacRumors: First, install the macOS 27 beta. Once installed, open Terminal on your Mac. Then, paste the following command into the window:

sudo defaults write "/Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/GenerativeModels.plist" "EnhancedSiriWaitlist" -dict-add Enabled -bool NO

After pasting, press Enter . Finally, restart your Mac. After rebooting, you should be able to access Siri AI immediately—you should see the Siri app and be able to access Siri AI through Spotlight. Happy beta testing!
