Apple’s New AI Features Will Only Work on These MacBook Models.

WWDC 2026 was an opportunity for Apple to showcase how it plans to use artificial intelligence to improve existing products. If you own a suitable Mac, you’ll be able to try out new Apple Intelligence features this fall, including the all-new Siri voice assistant. Unfortunately, not every MacBook will receive Apple’s latest features. If you want to try them, you’ll need one of these machines first.

These MacBooks will feature Apple Intelligence technology.

While all the Mac computers listed below will receive the new macOS 27 “Golden Gate,” some advanced AI features will work better on the most powerful models, which will require M3 processors and 12GB of RAM or more.

What’s new in Apple Intelligence for Mac?

macOS 27 Golden Gate brings updates to Spotlight, Safari, Photos, Shortcuts, and other apps. You’ll get many of the same Siri AI improvements as on iPhone , such as more flexible responses, context-sensitive clarifying questions, personalized help, synced conversations across devices, and more. The most significant improvements in macOS will be in Spotlight, including the ability to ask questions about files, compare documents, search, and take action from a single interface. Safari will also receive updates, including AI-powered tab management, page monitoring, AI-powered extensions, improved Passwords integration, and simplified automations, allowing you to describe your actions in plain English.
