Target Just Announced Its Response to Prime Day.
Target has become the first major retailer to announce its own sale designed to compete with Amazon Prime Day 2026. In a press release today, the company announced that its “Circle Deal Days” will run from June 23rd to 26th, which coincides with the dates Amazon has chosen for its annual major sale. Here’s everything you need to know about Target’s upcoming sale.
What are Target Circle Deal Days?
“Circle Deal Days” is the new name for Target’s biggest sales of the year. In 2025, these sales (held in July and October, again coinciding with two Amazon events) were called “Circle Week,” but starting with this year’s Spring Sale (which took place around the same time as Amazon’s “Big Spring Sale” ), Target appears to have changed the event’s name to “Circle Deal Days.” Other than not lasting a full week, the concept is the same as “Circle Week.” Like Prime Day, this sale used to be held once a year, but much to the dismay of Target employees , it now occurs multiple times a year.
When will Circle Deal Days take place in summer 2026?
This year’s Circle Deal Days sale runs from June 23rd to 26th; however, Target Circle 360 members will have access to the sale a day earlier, on June 22nd. Prime Day , which has historically offered better deals, will also run from June 23rd to 26th.
Do I need to be a loyalty program member to shop during Circle Deal Days?
As with the Amazon Prime Day sale, you’ll need to be a member of the Target Circle loyalty program to participate in the sale. However, unlike a Prime subscription, joining Target Circle is free. You can sign up for an account in the Target app or at Target.com .
You can also purchase a Target Circle 360 subscription, which will give you early access to the sale and other benefits like same-day delivery. If you’re a teacher, student, member of the military, or receive government assistance, you can save 50% on an annual Circle 360 subscription; otherwise, it starts at $10.99 per month. Again, a paid subscription is not required to access all the best Circle Deal Days deals.

The Amazon Prime Day sale runs from June 23rd to 26th, so all other sales tend to coincide with those dates. Walmart hasn’t announced its Walmart Deals sale yet, but it’s likely to begin soon.
