Lifehacker Is Running a “big Guessing Game” About Apple’s Announcements in 2026.

Several times a year, new theories emerge in the tech community, reigniting speculation about what Apple might announce next. Those of us who scour the internet for the latest leaks and rumors, try to guess what colors the next iPhone will come in or what new features will arrive in the next version of iOS, and then watch Apple’s livestreamed keynotes to see if we were right. If this sounds like you, listen up: this year, your guesses could earn you a brand-new Apple Watch.
Throughout 2026, Lifehacker is running a guessing contest based on new Apple announcements and releases. Here’s how it works: the contest will consist of three rounds.
-
The first round is currently underway and will run until June 2nd. As the questions above indicate, this round is dedicated to rumors surrounding Apple software (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, etc.).
-
The second phase , which will last from July 7 to 21, concerns Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro, etc.).
-
The third stage , which will take place from August 18 to September 1, is dedicated to Apple’s autumn presentation.
In each round, you’ll answer five questions about what Apple might announce or unveil during its major presentations. For each correct answer, you’ll get one chance to win the grand prize, which will be awarded after all three rounds are completed. If you win the drawing, you’ll receive the latest version of the Apple Watch.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and reside in the 50 US states or Washington, D.C. Lifehacker isn’t hosting this event alone: other CNET Group sites (CNET, Mashable, PCMag, ZDNET) are also submitting questions. This means there will be 75 possible questions across all CNET Group sites and all three rounds. You can answer any questions on these sites in each round, but please note that each participant can only win one prize. Each of the five sites will announce the winner of their contest shortly after Apple’s fall event.
After you answer, you’ll receive a copy of your answers at the email address you provided so you can track your predictions—and be sure to come back in July for round two of Lifehacker’s Big Guessing Game: Apple Edition.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE “CNET Group Big Guessing Game” SWEEPSTAKES. Open to adults (18 years of age or older) and residents of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
