Prime Day is just around the corner, but if mattresses, patio furniture, or appliances are on your shopping list, you might be better off shopping during the Memorial Day sales. Luckily, pre-sale sales are in full swing, even though Memorial Day isn’t until May 25th. These retailers are offering some of the best pre-sale deals right now.

Amazon’s Memorial Day sale offers discounts of up to 40%.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon is one of the first retailers to launch its Memorial Day sale early. They’re offering discounts on many categories, including home and kitchen goods , garden and outdoor gear , home improvement , electronics , and more . Here are a few deals I particularly liked:

Wayfair offers discounts of up to 70%.

Wayfair, a furniture store that recently opened its doors to shoppers (I visited the Atlanta store, and it was great to check out their products in person), is joining the early Memorial Day sale, offering discounts of up to 70% on its website. You can find living room furniture , rugs , bathroom vanities , mattresses , kitchen and dining furniture , bedroom furniture , patio furniture , appliances , and more . You can get an extra 10% off if you sign up for notifications (a pop-up should appear when you open the site). Here are a few great deals to keep an eye on:

Woot is having a big sale on outdoor lighting.

As the Shopping editor, I think Woot is vastly underrated. Many of their deals beat even the lowest prices Amazon has ever offered, and if you have Amazon Prime, shipping is free. They’re currently having a huge sale on outdoor lighting , making it a great opportunity to spruce up your yard, porch, deck, or backyard. Check out their deals and take advantage of them.

I’m an Airbnb host, so I’ve had to buy a lot of mattresses, bed frames, pillows, and more. I did a lot of research to find quality products and tested them all to ensure my guests would get a good night’s sleep.
