The Trump Mobile T1 Phone Will (Presumably) Go on Sale This Week.

The Trump Mobile T1 phone may begin shipping as early as this week, according to USA Today , citing an exclusive email from Trump Mobile confirming the shipment. If true, customers who pre-ordered this “gold” phone could receive their devices soon.
According to USA Today, Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien confirmed that the company will begin shipping pre-ordered T1 phones this week. However, this news should be taken with caution. This news follows several delays , as the company initially advertised the T1’s release in August. O’Brien says these delays “have paid off because we offer an amazing product.” Trump Mobile CEO also told USA Today that the phones are indeed assembled in the United States and use parts “primarily made in America.” This is part of the company’s “American pride” promise, as Trump Mobile’s website states that the T1 is “designed with American values ββin mind.”
What is the Trump Mobile T1 phone?
The first Trump Mobile phone looks a lot like any other mid-range Android device. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate; three rear cameras: a 50MP main lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom; a 50MP front-facing camera; a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 30W; a fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock; and a Snapdragon processor, although the company hasn’t specified which chip is in this device.
Two elements set the Trump Mobile T1 apart from other phones on the market: first, the Trump branding. Unless you put a case on it, everyone will know your position, as the bottom of the phone features a large American flag with the word “TRUMP MOBILE” written on it. Furthermore, the “TRUMP MOBILE” wordmark is also present along the camera lenses. The back panel of the phone, as well as the thin bezel around the display, are gold (of course), and judging by the renders, there’s even a TRUMP MOBILE wallpaper for the home screen, if you don’t think the phone’s branding is showing off enough.
Another unique feature, of course, is that this phone is supposedly primarily made in the US. Indeed, finding a smartphone that fits this description is quite difficult, as most devices are largely manufactured outside the country. However, it’s definitely not 100% American-made: the Snapdragon chips are manufactured by TSMC , based in Taiwan. Samsung also manufactures AMOLED displays in Korea . It’s possible the phones are assembled in the US and use many other American components, but at this point, the phone isn’t entirely made in that country.
The Trump T1 phone starts at $499, and the company is offering a $100 discount on pre-orders. It might actually launch, and you’ll be able to get your own Trump-branded phone in the coming weeks. But if for some reason you’d prefer to consider another mid-range Android device, CNET has a great list of options here .
