For comparison, a new unit is currently priced at $174.99 on Amazon, and most previous discounts, according to price tracking sites , haven’t dropped much below $149.99. This is a 3.1-channel soundbar with a built-in center channel, designed to improve dialogue clarity and give movies a richer sound than standard TV speakers. It connects via HDMI eARC or optical cable, so it works with most TVs out of the box. It also has Bluetooth for streaming music from your phone. Despite its name, it doesn’t run the Fire TV software. Control is via a simple remote control, allowing you to switch inputs, adjust bass and treble, and switch between modes like “Movie” or “Night.” There’s no on-screen interface, so voice prompts and small LED indicators confirm changes.
As noted in the PCMag review , this is a noticeable improvement in sound over the TV’s built-in speakers. Dialogue is easier to understand, and the overall sound is more spacious. This soundbar also supports Dolby Atmos in its basic mode, although it lacks height channels, so you won’t get the full surround sound effect.
