This Dolby Atmos-Enabled Samsung Soundbar Is Now $350 Off.

The Samsung HW-Q800F soundbar is on sale on Amazon for $749.99, more than 30% off its original price of $1,100 and, according to price-tracking sites , the lowest price ever achieved on Amazon. It’s slightly inferior in features to the flagship Samsung Q990F, offering a 5.1.2-channel system with Dolby Atmos but without the additional rear speakers found in higher-end systems. For many living rooms, this means fewer components to place and connect, while still maintaining the desire for a more spacious sound experience than a basic soundbar.
The Q800F soundbar is designed with movies and TV shows in mind. The included subwoofer delivers deep, powerful bass that adds weight to action scenes without the need for lengthy setup. Dialogue will sound clearer than on most TVs, thanks to a dedicated center channel that helps voices stay front and center even during fast-paced scenes. It’s also well-connected, with HDMI pass-through for 4K at 60Hz with HDR and Dolby Vision, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, and Spotify Connect. If you have a modern Samsung TV, Q-Symphony allows the TV speakers and soundbar to work together, and Dolby Atmos wireless technology is available as an option, eliminating the need for additional cables. Alexa offers built-in voice control, although setting up Google Assistant requires a few additional steps through the Samsung app.
On the downside, it may not be suitable for the latest gaming systems, as the soundbar lacks HDMI 2.1 features like variable refresh rate. Furthermore, while Atmos is present, it doesn’t provide the full surround sound of systems with rear speakers. Bass can sometimes sound a bit heavy, and some midrange details, especially in dialogue, may sound less rich depending on the content. However, if you’re looking for a cleaner system that avoids the need for multiple speakers around the room, the Q800F offers a practical balance.
