The Natural Cycles Fertility App Can Now Access Temperature Data From Your Garmin Watch.

Garmin today announced a partnership with the Natural Cycles fertility app, which will allow you to share temperature data from the Garmin app with Natural Cycles . To use this feature, you’ll need a supported Garmin watch. Currently, this includes the Fenix 8 , Forerunner 570 and 970 , Venu 3 and 3S , Venu 4 , and Venu X1 . (A full list of compatible devices can be found here .)

All of these watches are quite expensive—the Venu 3S is the cheapest, still $350—so I don’t think anyone will rush out and buy a Garmin just for the Natural Cycles integration. However, Garmin is offering a discount to Natural Cycles subscribers, though the discount amount hasn’t been announced yet. Natural Cycles says it will send a link to the discount to new subscribers, and existing subscribers can access it through the “Buy Additional Products” page in the Natural Cycles app.

What are natural cycles?

Natural Cycles is a fertility and contraception app designed for women who are ovulating. It tracks the days when they are most fertile. Body temperature typically rises slightly during ovulation, so over the years, Natural Cycles has evolved from an app that requires a thermometer to measure temperature to one that connects to wearable devices for temperature tracking. The Oura Ring already partners with Natural Cycles (the ring includes temperature sensors), and earlier this year , Natural Cycles released its own specialized wristband for nighttime temperature tracking.

It’s extremely difficult to find pricing information for a Natural Cycles subscription on their website (I had to fill out a lengthy form and view several ads before I was told I needed to enter my email address to receive a price quote), but the Natural Cycles app page on the App Store lists in-app purchases at $28.49 per month and $194.99 per year.
