Here Are the Best Laptop Deals I Saw During Amazon’s Big Spring Sale.

This week , Amazon’s big spring sale is in full swing. If you check the “Laptops” section of Amazon’s spring sale page, you’ll find a seemingly endless number of discounted options. However, that doesn’t mean all of these deals are worth considering. There are a ton of laptops on the market, and not all of them will be right for you (or most people). So, I’ve been browsing Amazon and found a few deals that really do seem worth considering.

The general rule for such deals is: if you’ve never heard of the company before, be extremely cautious. There are laptop manufacturers that have been in business for many years and know how to produce quality products. If you see a huge discount on a laptop from an unknown company, it should raise suspicion. This doesn’t mean you should avoid all startups and new companies; just do your research before buying a computer.

15-inch MacBook Air M4

If you need a large yet portable laptop, the MacBook Air is a great choice. While Apple’s latest model uses the M5 processor, the M4 version is more than worth considering—especially if you can afford it.

As part of Amazon’s Spring Sale, you can get a 15-inch MacBook Air with an M4 processor for $1,149 . That’s $150 cheaper than the M5 version. You still get the same 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, as well as a chip that Apple will likely support for years to come. (The company still supports the M1, which was released in 2020.) If you do decide to get a MacBook Air with an M5 processor, consider saving a little by purchasing it from the Apple Education Store .

Samsung 16-inch Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360

If you need a large, thin, and light laptop running Windows 11, this Copilot+ PC from Samsung might be for you. The 16-inch Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 features an Intel Core 7 Ultra processor, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage—twice as much as the MacBook Air mentioned above. It also features a 3K AMOLED touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Integrated graphics won’t get you very far in gaming, but if you need a powerful machine for school, work, or personal use, this is a great all-round option.

HP EliteBook 6 G1i

Let’s up the ante a bit. This HP EliteBook comes with a hefty 64GB of RAM. For most students and workers, that might be overkill, but it means this machine is a dream for those who love multitasking. (You’ll probably never run out of Chrome tabs.) It’s equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The 16-inch IPS display has a lower resolution than other laptops I’ve reviewed so far—just 1200p. That’s a few more pixels than a 1080p display: not bad, but not 3K or 4K. Still, if you’re willing to live with the display compromises, this machine will handle most tasks you throw at it—and it’s 32% off the original price.

What do you think at the moment?

ASUS TUF F16

If you’re looking for an affordable gaming laptop, the ASUS TUF might be a great choice . This model features 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, a 4.6GHz Intel Core i5 13450HX processor, and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card. It also features a 16-inch LED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, allowing you to boost frame rates in games. It’s certainly not the most powerful gaming laptop on the market, but with a 23% discount (to $999.99), it’s worth considering.

ASUS ROG Strix G18

If you’re looking for a slightly better gaming experience, consider the ASUS ROG Strix G18 . This 18-inch laptop features an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor, a discrete GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The 18-inch display has a 1080p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate—more than enough for high-refresh-rate gaming. This model costs almost $400 more than the TUF, but you get more for your money—and save 18% on the original price.

Lenovo Legion 5i

Let’s take a look at another gaming laptop—this time with a more powerful Intel processor. The Lenovo Legion 5i features an Intel Core i7 17000HX processor, a discrete GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It features a 15-inch 1600p OLED display, which boasts the sharpest image and highest contrast of all the gaming laptops featured here. It’s great for both gaming and watching TV shows and movies. Like the TUF F16, it has a 165Hz refresh rate. That’s why this laptop typically retails for $1,699.99, but is currently discounted by $230.
