You Can Save up to 23% on the IPad Air M3 During Amazon’s Spring Sale.

While companies may make it seem like you always have to buy their latest and greatest models, you can save significant money by opting for older devices. These days, hardware from reputable manufacturers is typically high enough to last for years, making devices from a generation or two a great value. So, if you’re planning on buying a new iPad, consider an older iPad. As part of its spring sale, Amazon is offering the iPad Air M3 with cellular support and AppleCare+ for up to 23% off.
As you might have guessed from the introduction, the iPad Air with the M3 processor is n’t the last iPad Air model. Apple has since released a version with the M4 processor, which offers very few advantages over the M3. The first, of course, is the M4 chip, which is one generation newer and also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 (versus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 in the M3). The M4 chip has one more power-efficient core than the M3 (five versus four), 120 GB/s of memory bandwidth versus 100 GB/s in the M3, and 12 GB of RAM versus 8 GB in the M3.
Beyond that, however, these are absolutely identical iPads, right down to their battery life (10 hours of internet use via Wi-Fi, according to Apple). Thus, the M3 Air is Apple’s “modern” iPad design: thin bezels, a front-facing camera along the long edge (perfect for video calls when holding the iPad horizontally), and a single 12-megapixel camera on the back. These are also cellular models, meaning you can purchase an additional data plan for using the iPad outside the home, including 5G connectivity.
Essentially, the only question is which size to choose: the Air comes in two sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch, and the price varies depending on the size. The 13-inch model costs $838 , which Amazon says is 16% off the MSRP. The 11-inch model, on the other hand, costs $718.99 , which is 23% off the MSRP. Both prices are for the 256GB Wi-Fi-only models. As part of this promotion, the 11-inch model is available in Space Black, and the 13-inch model is available in Blue.
I’m still using my 2021 iPad Pro with the M1 chip, and it handles iPadOS 26 without a hitch. I’d recommend an iPad with a chip two generations newer without hesitation. Apple’s iPad software, while more reliable than ever, isn’t the most demanding, so these chips really do last a long time.
You can save money if you don’t need a model with AppleCare+. Amazon will sell you an 11-inch iPad Air M3 with cellular support for $649.99 , but it won’t be covered by Apple’s extended warranty.
