This Lightweight Garmin Fitness Watch Is Over $100 Off During Amazon’s Spring Sale.
Garmin Vivoactive watches are one of my favorites for tracking fitness in my free time. The Vivoactive 6 is the newest version, but right now you can get the Vivoactive 5 for just $179.99 as part of Amazon’s spring sale.
The Vivoactive 5 smartphone was originally released in 2023 for $299.99. Following the release of the Vivoactive 6, the price of the Vivoactive 5 dropped to $229.99. Since the start of the holiday season, it has hovered around $200, but is now $179.99, with slight variations depending on the color chosen.

It’s cheaper, the fitness features are faster and easier to use, and the battery life lasts over a week. While I don’t have a separate review of the Vivoactive 5, I’d recommend reading my review of the Vivoactive 6 , a similar watch. The 6 adds more workout options and a more robust navigation system, but otherwise the differences are mostly superficial. The core features are the same for both models.
Key features include a 42mm case (one of the smallest sizes for a smartwatch); a touchscreen for most functions, but physical buttons for starting, stopping, and tracking laps during workouts; Garmin’s consistently excellent workout tracking and analysis system; and amenities like hydration and rest reminders, a morning report, weather forecast, and incident detection. The Vivoactive watch also features a wheelchair mode that counts kicks rather than steps and includes wheelchair workouts and handcycling.
