This 360-Degree Action Camera Is Over $200 Off As Part of Amazon’s Spring Sale.

As part of Amazon’s Spring Sale (March 25th to March 31st), the DJI Osmo 360 Essential Combo is on sale for $389.35 , a significant discount from its regular price of $599. This bundle includes not only the camera but also the Osmo 360 itself, an invisible selfie stick, a protective case, a rubber lens cover, a charging cable, and an extra battery. DJI is also slashing prices on other bundles, such as the Skiing , Cycling, and Vortex bundles, but the Essential bundle covers most use cases without tying you to any one activity.
At this price, it’s closer to mid-range action cameras , while offering something those cameras lack: full 360-degree video recording. The Osmo 360’s main advantage is its ability to record video in 8K at 30 fps. This resolution is sufficient for subsequent trimming and cropping of clips without losing detail. In practice, this means you can shoot first and then choose your angles. Battery life is decent for a compact camera: DJI estimates it at approximately 100 minutes when shooting in 8K and up to 190 minutes when shooting in 6K at 24 fps. The extra battery included in the Essential Combo kit extends this battery life even further.
The invisible selfie stick does exactly what it promises, automatically removing itself from the video, giving you a floating, third-person perspective without editing. There’s also a SuperNight mode for low-light shooting, slow-motion shooting at up to 100 fps, and a selfie mode for wide-angle footage. It has 105 GB of built-in storage (although it’s expandable if needed), which is a practical addition, especially if you’ve forgotten your microSD card. The OLED touchscreen is bright enough for outdoor use, and at just 0.4 pounds (approximately 110 grams), it’s easy to carry during long shoots.
8K 360º video sounds great, but it requires more storage space and time to edit. While the DJI app is fairly easy to use, working with 360º video requires additional steps compared to standard video. Additionally, low-light performance is improved in SuperNight mode, but it doesn’t quite match traditional action cameras with large sensors. Still, at $389.35, this kit feels more affordable and is a good starting point for getting started with 360º video, provided you’re willing to invest a little more time in editing.
