Ahead of Amazon’s Spring Sale, These Noise-Canceling Headphones Are $50 Off.

Amazon’s Spring Sale hasn’t officially begun yet, but some of the best deals are already available, like the OnePlus Buds 4. These latest earbuds from the brand are slashed to $79.99 (down from $129.99), which, according to price tracking sites , is the lowest price yet. Amazon is also testing one- and three-hour shipping in some regions, as our Senior Tech Editor Jake Peterson reports, making these early deals easy to take advantage of if you need something fast. The Buds 4 are positioned as a step up from the Buds 3 , borrowing some ideas from the more expensive Pro series , particularly in how they handle noise cancellation and overall sound tuning.
The main reason to consider these headphones is their noise cancellation : it suppresses background noise, such as traffic, fans, or office chatter, quite well, so you don’t have to constantly crank up the volume. They’re also light enough to wear for several hours without ear fatigue. As for sound, bass is dominant. Songs with heavier rhythms sound fuller and richer, although this can somewhat compromise the clarity of vocals and instruments. You also get a stable Bluetooth connection and decent battery life, lasting almost all day thanks to the charging case.
However, the user experience isn’t perfect. The companion app can be unstable, and there are occasional bugs that make adjusting settings more difficult than they should be. Furthermore, the touch controls take some getting used to and can be glitchy when adjusting the earbuds on the go. It’s also worth noting that they’re more expensive than the full-price Buds 3 , which, despite being cheaper, still perform well. Still, at $79.99, the Buds 4 are a better value, especially if effective noise cancellation is crucial to you.
