AirPods Pro 3 Will Be More Forgiving for Small Ears

With AirPods Pro 3, Apple has improved the design of the earbuds, and they now feature a new multi-port acoustic architecture. This architecture controls airflow, which helps deliver sound more precisely into your ear and improves spatial sound.

The active noise cancellation system in AirPods Pro 3 has also been improved, and is said to be twice as effective as the AirPods Pro 2 and four times more effective than the original AirPods Pro. To achieve this, AirPods Pro 3 use ultra-low-noise microphones, Apple’s advanced audio processing technology, and new foam ear tips that provide improved passive noise isolation. Apple will also offer new XXS-size ear tips for the AirPods Pro 3.

Additionally, the new AirPods Pro 3 now offer a promised eight hours of music playback with ANC turned on, a 33% increase from the previous model, which offered up to six hours with ANC turned on.

For those who work out with AirPods, the AirPods Pro 3 have an IP57 sweat and water resistance rating, up from the previous model’s IPX7 rating. The earbuds also feature a dedicated heart rate sensor to track your heart rate during workouts.

And in 2025, it wouldn’t be a tech product if it didn’t have some kind of AI feature. With AirPods Pro 3, Apple is adding a live translation feature powered by Apple Intelligence and computational audio. When you speak to someone in one of the supported languages, AirPods will play the translation right into your ear. You’ll also be able to view a transcript of the live translation on your iPhone.
