New to Prime Day? We’ve got the lowdown on everything you need to know . Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
Amazon is having four days of epic sales again this year, and the discounts are expected to be substantial. Of course, it’s possible to get overwhelmed by all the price cuts — and I know I’ve been in the past — and end up spending too much, so a good rule of thumb is to avoid buying anything you’re not interested in. Personally, I only really care about a few categories when it comes to shopping on Amazon, and one of them is home fitness equipment, specifically anything that can help me improve my already great Peloton setup . Luckily, while Prime Day hasn’t technically even started yet, there are already some great Peloton accessories on sale, and there will undoubtedly be more sales once things get going in earnest tomorrow.
Accessories that make riding better or easier
Before we get to the fun stuff, check out these deals on simple equipment that will improve the efficiency or ease of your riding:
-
The A2C Rechargeable Fan is 10% off, now on sale for $26.99 instead of $29.99. Staying cool is key to comfort, which in turn helps you ride better and longer. This baby mounts right to your handlebars (but you can also take it to the gym or put it on your kid’s stroller, since it’s rechargeable).
-
The Wakeman Floor Mat is now 40% off, down from $39.99 to $23.80. Trust me: You need a bike mat to protect your floor, and it’s better to buy one sooner rather than later. Your ride won’t necessarily feel more stable, since your bike should already be stable, but you won’t have to worry about damaging your floor with a machine or something you might drop during your workout.
-
It’s a great time to buy new cleats. These unisex VikoViren cycling shoes are currently marked down 15% to $45, and the brand has another option with slightly sturdier straps for $46, also marked down 15%. I gifted my boyfriend this second pair when I was given a Peloton Bike+ review so he could try it out, too, and he found them to fit well, tighten easily around his feet, and clip in and out of the pedals relatively easily.
-
On the other hand, it might be time to upgrade your pedals so you don’t need cleats anymore. Peloton bikes don’t have cages on the pedals that let you ride in regular workout shoes, which can be annoying if you share a bike with multiple people (or hate clipping in and out, like me). Instead, invest in pedal converters. For $17 — 15% off — you can buy flat converters that fill the hole where the cleats go, turning the pedal into a flat surface similar to what you have on your street bike. However, as a spin bike instructor , I warn that if you can, you should spend more to buy converters that create a cage pedal for you, just to keep your feet from slipping off as you sprint. With a 9% coupon at checkout, you can get them for $28.49 right now .

If your cat has chewed up your old one, it’s gotten too dusty to save, or you just think a new one would serve you better, you might want to consider buying a new power cord for your Peloton. Instead of paying $21.99, you can pay just $10.99 right now.
Less Necessary But Fun Peloton Accessories
Yes, you’ll need cleats and a mat to get a comfortable ride, but Peloton has accessories for sale that are more focused on feel and enjoyment than functionality.
-
A2C makes a fitness phone holder that works well on the Peloton, allowing you to magnetically attach your phone to the handlebars so you can scroll while you spin. It’s $21.99 now, down from $24.99. I love my Peloton to death and ride it every day, but I hate the fact that there’s nowhere to safely put my phone. Call it an indictment of our times, but it’s not very smart to ride for 45 minutes without access to your phone, whether you’re using it for entertainment, work, or anything else, so this device is pretty handy.
-
But why just mount a phone when you can mount an entire tablet? Peloton’s existing tablet is great for classes and even has some extra features like the ability to watch YouTube, but it doesn’t come with all the streaming services you want and isn’t as personal as your iPad. The A2C Tablet Mount , marked down 9% to $19.99, might be a good fit.
-
You might also want to get a desk mount so you can use your phone, tablet, or laptop while you ride. Instead of $49.99, you can pay $39.99 for this one, which attaches to a standard Peloton Bike . If you have a Bike+ or Tread, make sure you look specifically for desks that work with those machines.
Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot are running Prime Day sales that are especially helpful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.
-
Walmart’s Prime Day sale starts at midnight on July 8 and includes discounts of up to 50% . It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.
-
Best Buy’s Prime Day sale , “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13, and offers some of the best tech sales online . It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.
-
Home Depot has extended its July 4 sale through at least July 9, competing with some of its own great deals . It’s a particularly good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor gear.
