One of Logitech’s Best Gaming Keyboards Is $90 Right Now

If you’re looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard, the Logitech G915 Lightspeed is one of the best options, especially at $159.99 (down from $249.99). Its low-profile mechanical design provides a more comfortable experience than a typical laptop keyboard, even with shorter key presses. Plus, you get, among other things, a full set of keys with dedicated media controls, macro buttons (G1 to G5), and even a fancy aluminum volume rocker. For gamers, these macro buttons can be a game-changer, although they take some getting used to.
In terms of wireless performance, Logitech’s Lightspeed technology (essentially their Wi-Fi connection over a 2.4GHz dongle) is said to deliver fast response times and ultra-low latency performance with virtually no lag at all. There’s also a Bluetooth option, although there may be a slight delay when switching to Bluetooth. At 2.24 pounds, the G915 feels a little heavier than expected, which could be a drawback if portability is high on your list. It’s not exactly convenient to carry around in your bag, and the key doesn’t have built-in storage, so losing it is always a risk.
On the other hand, its battery life is good—Logitech says it’s about 30 hours at maximum RGB, which is pretty decent for a wireless keyboard. And the G915 works with Logitech’s G Hub software, making it easy to customize macros, customize lighting, and save profiles. You can save up to three profiles in the keyboard’s internal memory and as many as you like on your computer. However, according to this PCMag review , the process of switching profiles can be a little confusing since you have to activate them through the keyboard settings rather than through the profile menu.
If you’re looking for something more affordable, the $87 HyperX Alloy Origins (down from $109.99) might be a good alternative. It doesn’t have wireless functionality, but it’s worth considering if you’re looking for something more basic.
