What’s New in Max in May 2024

May’s lineup will feature new seasons of two Max Originals. First up is the third installment of the comedy series Khaki (May 2), starring Emmy winner Jean Smart and nominee Hannah Einbinder. The season debuts with two episodes, with two additional episodes premiering each week until the May 30 finale. The drama series Pretty Little Liars: Summer School (May 9) will follow a similar format, with episodes airing weekly until June 20.

There’s also a new stand-up special from Nikki Glaser , Someday You’ll Die (May 11), which explores topics like aging and sexual fantasy, and two film projects from production house A24. The first, “Stop Making Sense” (May 3), is a restored 4K version of the 1984 Talking Heads concert film filmed at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, followed by the biographical sports drama “Iron Claw” (May 10) with Zac Efron and Jeremy starring. Allen White and Harris Dickinson as the Von Erich brothers, professional wrestlers in the 1980s.

Finally, check out the HBO MoviePass original documentary, MovieCrash (May 29), which chronicles the rise and fall of the movie subscription service MoviePass.
