It’s Not Just You, Twitter Isn’t Working.
Twitter… uh, sorry, X (formerly Twitter), not working . At least intermittently. I started writing this article as soon as I noticed a problem on my end: I tried to load a site in Chrome, and after a few seconds I got a blank screen. I tried updating again and again the site had no results. I switched to my phone, and lo and behold, the site worked. So, back to my browser: yes, it works! However, another update and again empty results. Yes.
Something is going on at Twitter HQ, and maybe by the time this all happens, everything will be fixed, but for now, you won’t be able to load your tweets. It’s a funny turn of events: the last time a major social network went down was under Meta’s watch , as Instagram, Facebook and Threads refused to load. At the time, everyone flocked to Twitter to check on the situation and laugh at the situation. Now, will people flock to Instagram, Facebook and Threads to return the favor to Twitter?
When I go to post this the site seems to load again. I hope this sticks. But given that Company X, formerly Twitter, is a skeletonized team these days, it’s not hard to imagine that there will be more problems like this in the future.
