What’s New on Disney+ in May 2024
The biggest thing coming to Disney+ in May is the premiere of the next Doctor Who series, with three episodes available on May 10, with new episodes releasing every Friday. This is the first season of the BBC show to air on Disney+ and follows the adventures of the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and his companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson).
In the Star Wars universe, you can see the final episode of the third season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch (May 1) and the premiere of Star Wars: Tales of Empire (May 4), the six-part Disney original series following Morgan Elsbeth and the Former Jedi Barriss Offee on a journey through the Empire.
Weekly episodes of X-Men ’97 will continue on Wednesdays with the premiere of Marvel Studios’ Assembled: The Making of X-Men ’97 (May 22).
On the documentary side, there’s also The Beach Boys (May 24), which tells the behind-the-scenes story of the legendary pop group, and Jim Henson Idea Man (May 31), a Ron Howard film about the creator of the Sesame Street classic. and The Muppet Show .
