It’s only been a month since Amazon released the new Blink Mini 2 , and its price has already been reduced by 25%. For a limited time, you can purchase the Blink Mini 2 for $29.99 (originally $39.99), which is the lowest price since its release, according to Price Checker Tools .
The biggest upgrade over the first generation Blink Mini is the ability to use it both indoors and outdoors. If you buy the Blink Weather Resistant Power Adapter for $9.99, you can use the weather-resistant camera outdoors (the power cord in the Blink Mini 2 box is not waterproof). The field of view is now 143 degrees, up from 110 degrees on the previous model. Video quality is also better in low light conditions thanks to the built-in LED floodlight for color video at night. In terms of hardware, Blink Mini 2 now uses a custom chip, opening the door to new features like smart notifications and people detection. You’ll now be able to find out via notifications whether the camera is detecting a person, a pet, or a package if you have a Blink subscription plan (from $3 per month for a single device, up to $10 for multiple devices).
The great thing about Blink is that you don’t need a subscription plan if you don’t need its features. With Sync Module 2 ($49.99), you can use local storage instead of paying for cloud storage on Blink’s subscription plan. Some bundles sold include both Blink Mini 2 and Sybc Module 2. Keep in mind that you only get AI features with a Blink subscription.
