Pre-Ordering Samsung’s New Music Frame Includes a $100 Gift Card.

Samsung’s obsession with tricking your friends with high-tech bezels shows no sign of stopping. A case in point is Music Frame , Samsung’s newest integration into The Frame line. You’ve probably heard of The Frame TVs ( currently $500 off ), which feature an anti-glare, matte QLED display and a customizable frame. The idea is that you can use high quality art screensavers to imitate the look of works of art. when you’re not actively watching something.

Samsung’s new Music Frame is a similar concept, except it’s an actual photo frame (no screens here) with a built-in smart speaker. First revealed at this year’s CES , the Music Frame will release on April 12, and if you pre-order it through Best Buy, your purchase will include a $100 Best Buy gift card .

Since this is a real photo frame, you will be able to use any personal photo or piece of art that measures 8×8 inches. As with The Frame TV, you can also change the bezel to any color to match your decor. The speaker features two woofers, two tweeters and two midrange speakers that deliver Dolby Atmos sound. The woofers are rear-facing while the speakers are forward-facing. The speaker also features Samsung’s SpaceFit technology, which calibrates sound to suit your space so that the “wide radial audio range” performs at its best. If you have The Frame TV, the Music Frame can sync to it using the company’s Q-Symphony technology, which creates a home theater setup. If you have two music frames, you can create a stereo pair.

Music Frame is also a smart speaker compatible with Alexa, Google and Bixby (Samsung’s voice assistant). It can be used as a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi speaker and supports Dolby Atmos, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Chromecast and AirPlay. It also has a Tap Sound feature that allows compatible phones to touch their phones to the Music Frame to play media through the speaker.
