If you ever have to edit a PDF file, you’ll probably want to pull your hair out. There’s no built-in option on a PC or Mac that lets you edit PDFs without downloading an app or program, and many of the options available are locked behind annoying paywalls or limited free trials. Luckily, if you’re trying to edit a PDF on a Mac, these great options will help you get the job done.
Determine what changes you need
The first step is to understand what you need and want to do. If you just want to add annotations or comments to a PDF, then the built-in preview app can be great for that, although it’s not really the most intuitive user interface in the world.
