As I explained in the Best Buy Drops article , you’ll need to create an account and go to the Drops tab to see the Roomba Combo i5+. Once you see it, click the “Add to Cart” button and it will put you in line to give you the opportunity to buy a Roomba. Depending on the popularity of the product, waiting in line can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. The Roomba Combo i5+ is quite popular, but I’ve noticed that people love Roomba deals, so the wait may be longer. These Drop deals are exclusive to those who have the app, so don’t expect it to appear on the website or in stores.
The Roomba Combo i5+ is similar to the Roomba Combo j5+ in that they both mop and self-empty with the base. However, there is one major difference between the two that may be a deal breaker for some of you. iRobot differentiates the “j” from the “i” models by having better navigation and mapping features. The “j” model has a “PrecisionVision” navigation feature that allows you to detect obstacles (such as cables, dog feces, etc.). The “j” also has areas of your smart card that you can prevent from vacuuming or mopping, something the “i” cannot do. If you can live without these things, then the iRobot Roomba Combo i5+ could be a great deal for you at its current price.
