Galaxy S24 Has Problems
The Galaxy S24 line received a lot of praise after its initial launch, but the honeymoon period seems to be coming to an end. There seem to be a number of issues with S24 phones that users continue to point out despite them not being mentioned in most reviews. If your Galaxy is having issues with its cameras, displays, or Android Auto connectivity, you’re not alone.
The S24’s display may disappoint
Galaxy phones are usually known for their high-quality, vibrant displays. That’s part of what fans love about using these devices. However, some S24 users have noticed that their displays are not up to Samsung’s usual standards. When scrolling through the app, everything looks great, but when returning to the home screen or opening the notification shader, everything becomes blurry and dull.

In the photos, the S21 looks as you’d expect: deep black and vibrant colors; in comparison, the S24’s black looks gray and colors are generally duller. Based on one online commenter’s screenshot, Samsung is aware of the problem and is working on a solution. However , Samsung Spain later stated that the blurred appearance of the display was intentional. In my opinion, Samsung support doesn’t know what’s going on either, and we’ll have to see if there’s actually a fix that will make Vivid mode more consistent. Until then, you can try switching the display to natural mode, but this will make the whole process boring.
Switching between cameras on the S24 is not smooth.
The problems with the S24 aren’t just about the display. On some Galaxy S24 devices, zooming between the 1x zoom lens and the 5x zoom lens is noticeably unstable. The transition is supposed to be smooth so you won’t even notice the phone switching between lenses, but on affected devices the change in focus is obvious.

It’s not the worst thing in the world, but it shouldn’t happen . As it turns out, this is a hardware defect that affected the first S24 devices released by Samsung. Compounding the problems, portrait photos, as well as photos at 5x and 10x magnification, can have a grainy appearance.
The S24 is having issues with some cars’ Android Auto interfaces.
In addition to the above issues, the S24 seems to have issues with Android Auto interfaces. According to the UK support page , the Galaxy S24 is having problems connecting to Android Auto in some Volkswagen, Skoda and SEAT vehicles. Samsung says this is likely an issue with the car rather than the S24 itself, but the company is helping users follow troubleshooting steps to get things working. The steps are fairly simple, including trying a new USB cable, updating the S24, updating Android Auto, or looking in Android Auto settings for anything that might be interfering with the connection.
