Amazon Prime Members Can Get One of These Free EBooks in February

You can get thousands of free eBooks throughout 2024 if you know where and when to look for them. For January only, Amazon Prime members using a Kindle device or app could take advantage of the Cozy Mystery Book Blast, as well as an event from Witchy Book Worms , where you could score hundreds of free “witchy” and mystery e-books.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Stuff Your Kindle Day , the largest free ebook event of the year, offering over a thousand free ebooks. But in February, Prime members will also be able to get a free Kindle e-reader through Amazon’s First Reads program.

What are Amazon’s First Reads?

Amazon First Reads is a program designed for Prime members that offers early access to new e-books across many genres, curated by First Reads editors. Prime members can download one free ebook each month from a rotating list (though that number increases to two in some months), and non-members get them at a reduced price. These eBooks can be read on any compatible Kindle device or through the free Kindle app.

How to Get a Free Amazon Kindle eBook in February

Go to the First Read landing page to see the full list of eBooks available this month. Once you find a book you find interesting, click the Buy Now button. Make sure you’re not redirected to the Kindle mobile app because you won’t see the free book option; use a browser instead (or just “check out” the free book on your computer). Also, make sure you don’t click the “Pre-order for…” button as this will require you to pay; instead, click the “Read Free” button under the “First Read” banner. The eBook will be sent directly to the Kindle linked to your Amazon account.

You’ll know you’ve done it right when you see the message “Thank you, [your name]!” The order summary states that the e-book is automatically delivered to Kindle Cloud Reader.

Free Amazon Kindle eBooks available February 2024

This month you have nine Kindle eBooks to choose from. Each book’s genre is listed above the title, allowing you to quickly narrow down your selection. If you hover over “View Editor’s Notes” under the “Buy Now” button, you can read a short review from the first-time editors who selected the book.
