Here’s How to Sum up Your Fitness Year for Apple Watch

You probably know that Apple offers a yearly review for music and even books . But there’s no such thing for the Apple Watch, and it feels like a missed opportunity. Wouldn’t it be great to see an overview of your entire year? How many miles have you walked, how many calories have you burned, how many workouts have you done, and how many rings have you completed? As usual, when Apple doesn’t offer a feature, the free iPhone app will offer it.

Peak is essentially a fitness dashboard for people who like to track all their workouts and stats. The free app will show you a couple of stats, but what’s really impressive are the fitness tracking widgets, which require a paid subscription ($1.99 per month or $14.99 per year). But in any case, a review of the app’s special year is available for free.

Once you download the Peak app, you need to give it permission to access all of your health data. Don’t worry: the app itself does not collect any data and will not leave your device.

Tap the 2023 in Review banner at the top to see a list of all available stats. The app features workouts, movement rings, steps, distance traveled, cycling, total workout minutes, stair runs, skiing and more. Click on the statistics to see a detailed view with a graph showing your journey over twelve months.

You’ll see a prominent Share button in every stat and on the home screen. (What’s a year in review without the ability to share with friends and online?) Click on it and the app will create a detailed graph of your stats. You can choose a specific topic or switch between them randomly. It is also possible to disable the schedule. Then tap the Share button to save the image to your camera roll, share it on Instagram, or export it to any social media app of your choice.

The individual statistics are certainly interesting, but the main one-page “2023 in Review” image is something worth saving. On the 2023 Overview page, click Share . Here you can select any metric you want to hide. For me it’s skiing and total calories burned because I don’t really care about that. Here you can also choose a theme or create one randomly. If you like what you have, click Share to send it.
