The Best Handheld Game Console Black Friday Sales

There are great sales on handheld game consoles on Black Friday. Here are my favorites.

This OLED kit for Nintendo Switch is now on sale.

The Nintendo Switch is arguably the most popular handheld gaming console in the world right now, with franchises like Super Mario, Super Smash Bros., Zelda, Pokémon and other exclusive games. For Black Friday, my favorite Nintendo Switch deal is this bundle: you can get the OLED version of the Nintendo Switch (the best version of the Switch at the time of writing) along with a download code for Super Smash Bros. 2 and three months of Nintendo subscription. Switch online for $350. With this deal, you’ll save about $68, considering digital purchases will cost you the same.

The original Nintendo Switch is also on sale.

If you want the original Nintendo Switch, you can still get a great bundle: for $300 you can get the Switch and a download code for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , as well as a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. You’ll also save about $67 with this combination.

The Nintendo Switch Lite bundle is also on sale.

You can also get a Nintendo Switch Lite as part of the Black Friday sale. Please note that Switch Lite is a handheld device only, which means it cannot be used with a larger display such as a TV or monitor. You also can’t detach the Joy-Con controllers, making it much less flexible than other Switch models. But this console costs a lot less: you can purchase the Nintendo Switch Lite version of Isabelle’s Aloha for $200 , and it includes a download code for Animal Crossing: New Horizons . With this package you will save $60.

And Asus ROG Ally is also on sale.

For those who want to play PC games on a portable device, the Asus ROG Ally is a great option. It comes with Windows 11, has a 7-inch 1080p display, 512GB of internal storage and 16GB of RAM, so you can play a lot of powerful games on it. Best Buy has a Black Friday discount on the ROG Ally , and it’s $620 off the regular price of $700.
