Here’s How to Fix Pixel Phone Stuck in Bootloop

Android 14 is full of new features, including AI improvements, the ability to use your phone as a webcam, and security updates. However, it appears to have a bug that could cause some Pixel phones to lose access to media storage, as well as potentially get stuck in a boot loop.

A bootloop occurs when a device fails to boot completely. He tries to do this, but something prevents him from doing this, forcing him to try to download again. This cycle continues again and again, hence the bootlap. This particular Pixel bug is related to some Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 devices that had multiple user profiles set up before updating to Android 14 .

Luckily, Google has already solved both problems. The company’s latest November update fixes a bug with media storage, so if that’s the only problem with your phone, you’ll be able to regain access after installing the update. However, for those suffering from boot issues, an OTA update won’t be enough to free up your Pixel. Instead, you need to manually install the patch using Google Pixel Repair Tool.

As reported by 9to5Google , Google released the patch on Friday , saying it could help both restore partial data for pixels stuck in a boot loop and give those devices access to the November system update. It’s unclear exactly what data will be restored in this patch, but at least there is a solution for any affected pixel.

How to recover your Pixel from an Android 14 bootloop

This tool will not be the same for all Pixel devices. Depending on your model, you will need to use one of two links:

  • If you have an AT&T Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a or Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a or Fold from a Japanese carrier, use this link .

  • For any other Pixel model or carrier , use this link .

On the Pixel Repair Tool page, click Get Started. Once you’ve done that, the site walks you through the steps needed to set up your Pixel, including entering Fastboot mode, selecting Recovery mode, and then connecting the phone to your computer via USB. Once everything is in order, the site should detect your Pixel and allow you to begin installing the patch.

If you’re not comfortable using the Pixel Repair Tool yourself, you can contact Pixel support for help. If you contacted Google about the November update, you may receive a direct message from Pixel support to help you through the process.
