Target’s Response to Prime Day Starts July 9th

Warm up your credit card: Major retailer Target is throwing a midsummer sale to compete withAmazon Prime Day . Target Circle Week runs from Sunday, July 9 through Saturday, July 15, and the company promises savings of up to 50% on both targeted brands like Sun Squad and Good & Gather and national brands like Dyson and Keurig.

Just like Prime Day deals are limited to Amazon Prime members, Target’s sale is only for members of the Target Circle loyalty program , but unlike Prime, Target Circle can at least join for free.

Another point in favor of Target is that you can buy Circle Week products, including discounted products, in brick-and-mortar stores, as well as online and in the Target app. You can also pick up items you order through Target’s fulfillment services within a couple of hours of ordering them, or use Shipt’s shipping option to get your items home in as little as an hour.

Or, as Kara Sylvester, Target’s EVP and Chief Guest Experience Officer, said in a press release, you “will have another opportunity to celebrate that sense of accessible joy only at Target.”

If you want to get an early taste of affordable joy, Target has already announced some Circle Week discounts that are scheduled for July 9th.
