Your Pixel Fold Order Has Probably Been Cancelled.

Preorder (verb): To order (an item) before it is available, with the understanding that it will be shipped later. Google seems to be fine with the first half of the definition, but not the second part, as the company currently appears to be canceling Pixel Fold orders left and right.

According to Android Police , Pixel Fold customers are finding that Google has either canceled their pre-orders or put them on hold, either because “it doesn’t meet our terms of sale” or because payment details can’t be verified. Here’s what happened to one Redditor who posted on r/GooglePixel : Google canceled their order due to a terms of sale issue, but Redditor confirmed that his card was successfully blocked from the order, so…huh?

If your order has simply been put on hold, you should receive a notification email. However, if your order was cancelled, there’s a good chance Google didn’t contact you at all. If you haven’t received an order cancellation email, the only way to know for sure is to check the status of the order – a series of circumstances that seemingly leave many customers unaware that their pre-ordered Pixel Fold won’t be delivered to them. All.

Google says the issue is a “bug” they are currently dealing with and they expect to fix it within 48 hours. That’s a good thing because the Pixel Fold goes on sale tomorrow , June 27th. However, this is bad news for anyone whose orders have been cancelled, especially those who pre-ordered after Google I/O on May 10th , as shipping estimates have now been extended to July 19th-20th. . If you were expecting to receive your device tomorrow, you might be out of luck.

If you haven’t ordered the Pixel Fold yet or need to re-order it due to this error, you can buy a new phone from the link below:

This issue seems to be isolated from Google’s own online store. Android Police highlights that Pixel Fold orders through other vendors like AT&T appear to be unaffected, meaning your phone should be delivered to you tomorrow or at the time your original shipping estimate was promised.
