This Summer You Can Buy Flights From the Southwest for $59

Are you stuck at home this weekend while your friends and family are out on the town? Don’t worry, you didn’t miss your chance on a summer trip. In fact, during the current S0uthwest sale, you can buy flights for as little as $59 one way. Here’s what you need to know.

How to get a $59 rate on Southwest

As with any sale in the Southwest, you’ll need to be a little flexible with your dates to get the cheapest tickets. While you can try your luck finding your desired travel dates, your best bet is to check out the low fare calendar on their website, which allows you to view fares throughout the month.

Alternatively, if you’re not sure where you want to go, select your home airport on this page and then find a destination with fares that fit your budget. Just make sure to book ASAP as the sale ends Thursday, June 1 at 11:59 PM PST.

Of course, with such low rates, many conditions apply. To start, you need to purchase tickets at least 21 days in advance and travel within the set time period:

• Within the Continental United States : June 13 to November 1, 2023
• Travel from the Continental United States to Hawaii and Between the Hawaiian Islands : August 8 to November 1, 2023
• Continental US from Hawaii, International travel, and travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico : August 15 to November 1, 2023

When to book winter and holiday flights to Southwest

Those who wish to book their vacation or other winter travel with Southwest will be able to do so shortly. At the moment, the airline only accepts bookings until November 4, 2023, but from June 8, you will be able to book tickets for flights until January 7, 2024.
