Like everything that costs money, hotel stays have become more expensive . But what you see isn’t necessarily what you’ll have to agree to if you join HotelSlash, a search and booking engine that tracks prices and alerts you to deals and discounts on your existing bookings.

HotelSlash prices may not differ much from other booking sites at first, but the advantage is tracking prices on the platform after you actually book. Typically, price monitoring is available for hotels (and flights) before booking, or this feature does not offer special offers for your booking, but HotelSlash looks for discounts and upgrades for your room or a room comparable to it.

How to use HotelSlash to book and track discounted rooms

HotelSlash is similar to most other booking systems. To find hotel deals, enter your destination – such as city, address, attraction, or facility name – check-in and check-out dates, and your group number, then click Confirm. You will have the option to choose the number of beds (single, multiple or no preference) and availability needs. You need to register or log in to submit a request.

Within minutes, you should receive an email from HotelSlash with a link to your options. You can view hotel information, room and amenities, and book a room directly on the HotelSlash website. Once you book through the platform, HotelSlash will monitor your booking for price reductions (as well as upgrades) and notify you if a better deal comes up.

How to Track Prices on an Existing Booking with HotelSlash

If you booked a fully refundable hotel through another travel search engine and would like to wait for the discount, please send a confirmation email to save@hotelslash.com. If a lower rate becomes available for your booking, you will receive an email from HotelSlash with a link to view and book the lower rate.

Please note that HotelSlash does not offer automatic rebooking or cancellation services – you must return and cancel your original booking after confirming your new booking to avoid double charges. HotelSlash will also not track prices for non-refundable rooms.

Before booking or rebooking through HotelSlash, please review your room and booking information carefully to ensure that the offer suits your preferences. Once you confirm your booking, you will not be able to make changes to your room or travel dates – you will have to cancel and rebook (assuming your booking is refundable). You also cannot apply any of the hotel’s loyalty program information, although some properties may allow you to add it to your booking upon check-in.
