These Viagra Pills Have Been Recalled Due to Safety Concerns, FDA Says

Gear Isle , an “adult novelty” company based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is voluntarily recalling some of its Viagra pills after the FDA found undeclared ingredients in them that could cause health problems for consumers if they also take certain medicines.

An analysis by the FDA found traces of sildenafil and tadalafil, and while they are FDA-approved inhibitors for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, they are not approved for these specific products. Because safety and efficacy procedures have not been conducted for these unannounced inhibitors, they are considered unsafe, especially for people who take nitrates from prescription drugs for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease.

Which viagra pills are being recalled?

The following are single-use Viagra pills that have been distributed nationwide online via the Gear Isle website and are currently being recalled:

According to the FDA, people who use nitrates for heart disease and take these pills are at the greatest risk of adverse health effects, including life-threatening drops in blood pressure. The FDA has not received any official reports of illness or health problems in people taking these pills.

What to do if you have these Viagra pills?

The FDA is urging people not to take the pills and instead return them to Gear Isle for a full refund. Some people may have already received a revocation warning email.
